C.S. Lewis once said,
“Friendship is born at the moment when one man [person] says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.’”
That’s exactly how I felt the first time my husband Dan and I sat down for coffee with Lorenzo Gomez. There was an instant connection—a shared passion. And what was that passion, you ask? San Antonio.
For nearly two hours, we talked about our city. Our city. The city we love. We shared what excites us, what frustrates us, what could be better, and what must be preserved. More than anything, we were passionate about San Antonio’s potential.
The conversation was so good that we scheduled another coffee exactly one week later. But this time, we all had the same thought:
What if we created a space where more people like us could discuss these ideas?
A place where people could share their voices, where they wouldn’t feel alone in a city that often feels spread out and disconnected.
So, like the industrious San Antonians who came before us, we decided to build something. And now, nearly a year later, we’re proud to introduce:

What is Voice of San Antonio?
San Antonio is a city of pioneers, visionaries, and changemakers. Voice of San Antonio (VOS) is a media platform designed to amplify the perspectives of the thought leaders shaping our city’s future.
We celebrate San Antonio’s rich history, but we also believe it’s a city of innovation, creativity, and progress. Our mission is to highlight the bold ideas, influential voices, and dynamic individuals driving change across industries—from business and technology to arts and civic engagement.
This is not a news site. Instead, through compelling storytelling, in-depth interviews, and insightful articles, VOS will showcase the people and ideas pushing San Antonio forward. It’s a space for leaders to share insights, challenge perspectives, and inspire meaningful action.
This is where you come in.
We’re excited to show you what we’ve been working on. But we have a small ask:
Check out the site, voiceofsanantonio.com.
Follow us on social media @voiceofsanantonio.
Share an article with someone who would appreciate it.

And if you have something to say, we’d love to hear from you! Whether it’s an article, an opinion piece, or a fresh perspective—shoot us an email and join the conversation.
Or, just sit back and enjoy as we start rolling out content for you to engage with!
Welcome to Voice of San Antonio.
Let’s talk about our city.
